Dr. Hiren Maniar, Ph.D.
Dr. Maniar brings over 20 years of scientific research and mathematical modelling experience spanning the fields of Neuroinformatics and Marine Hydrodynamics. He is an expert in neural data-analysis (EEG/MEG), inverse techniques, and boundary element methods. Dr. Maniar received his PhD in Hydrodynamics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and an MS in Civil Engineering from Univ. of Wisconsin (Madison). In addition to his scientific research endeavours, he has implemented numerous specialized scientific software packages, and more recently, led the development of a major data-analysis platform for neural signal processing of very large data (terabytes).
Dr. Maniar brings much experience in mathematical modelling of physical systems involving partial differential equations, integral equations, and inverse techniques; and the use of spectral methods for stochastic data-analysis. Further, he also brings first-hand experience in the implementation of various algorithms & numerical methods e.g.: spectral methods, inverse techniques, boundary element methods (BEM), finite-element methods (FEM).
